Consider replacing your wooden products with bamboo when buying new. Bamboo is a product that grass-based and a lot stronger than many of the commercially available wood products on the market. Because it is fast-growing, bamboo resources are easier to replenish than slow-growing trees. This saves energy on the recycling and production end of manufacturing products.
If you can not afford to get new windows that are more energy efficient, be sure to invest in some good shades. During the summer months, cover the windows during the day to keep the sun out. In the winter months, leave the window covers open to let the sun heat up the rooms; close them at night though to help keep the cold out.
Using green energies should be linked to recycling and reducing pollution. You can recycle cans, glass, paper and electronics. Avoid using products containing chemicals and do not buy a product from a brand that is obviously wasting resources in the packaging process. If all customers adopt this attitude, large firms will eventually change their habits.
